NAU School of Communication
RNL Architects worked with Johnson Walzer Associates and Sundt Construction in a CMAR partnership for Northern Arizona University’s School of Communication. This building’s signature is to reflect communication at all levels. It was designed to help the school attract incoming students and retain current students. The structure is positioned at the confluence of the north-south orientation of the newer south campus and the “old Flagstaff” alignment of the historic north campus. Its architecture is a contemporary interpretation that embraces the historic nature of the north campus and celebrates the future. The 95,000 SF of renovation/new construction features multi-media seminar and classrooms, lab facilities, a resource/reading library and administrative and faculty offices.
